Yesterday marks the day for the United States when US President Barack Obama made his inauguration speech in Washington. I had some time today to google about his speech content and his promises to put a stop to “childish things” and improve the world’s economy.

I have been running a couple of interviews recently for our head hunting team and also our in house hiring. I notice 80% of the potential applicants was rejected during their first contact with the employer.
From many years of experience interviewing and hiring, I can tell a person is fit to work from the first few minutes of talking to him/her on the phone.
Due to economic downturn, talents are overflow. If you can’t grab the employer attention, they could easily find someone else better.

Police nabbed the man who hit Dr Yap Sin Tian on stage during the New Era College Graduation. The man who hit Dr Yap is an undergraduate from New Era College itself
There was a big commotion and huge discussion among the educator, the parents, and the students. I went into deep thought thinking about this poor student who act on his emotions. No one really knew what causes the student to do such things, but the anger should be put through proper channels instead of using physical as means of expressing.

Your day to day routine
You probably begin your day with reminding the CEO on today’s schedule, who to meet, what are the important points in the meeting, prepare all the necessary documents for the meetings etc.
You are the walking mobile for the CEO. Normally, people don’t look for the CEO directly, but they will be looking you! So, you will be in charge of screening the phone calls if it’s an important call. People will call you to schedule an appointment with the CEO.
