If we could talk like Obama during interview

Yesterday marks the day for the United States when US President Barack Obama made his inauguration speech in Washington. I had some time today to google about his speech content on his promises to put a stop to “childish things” and to improve the world’s economy.

I was impressed with his power to convince, to bring new hope, to gather people’s force to change the present state of United States and the world. What if we could use the similar practice for our job interview and also our career… Imagine this, the inauguration is the interview, the moment after inauguration is where you start your career.

During the inauguration, Mr Barack Obama reveals a series of strategies to overcome the economy crisis. Same goes to any job interview, instead of waiting for question from the interview panel, why not pitch excellently on how you could help the company to improve the current situation? Frankly speaking, maybe only 1 out of 100 that I’ve interviewed could sell ideas and steps to the company on how he/she could make a difference.

Think about it, the interview was supposed to be a chance for you to prove your worthiness and your values to the employer. It is not a session for the employer to bombard you with a series of questions that left you dumbfounded. It should be a session that you could show off your victorious success from the previous employment, and outshine other candidates by convincing the employer that you are THE ONE.
