Employers' Market?
We have been enjoying jobseekers’ market for quite number of years now. Most of us are still having the old attitude when job hunting. Economy has hit us hard this time round especially in Penang and Johor + fresh graduates 2009 are about to join the employment world anytime soon. Can we still carry the same old attitude to demand for more and better package?
Change needed
Not just fresh graduates need to change, experience jobseekers too! Perhaps now, jobseekers should not to be too calculative about salary or too choosy on the job scope. Securing a job is the main priority because there are hundreds thousand of unemployed jobseekers out there to compete with you.
Improvement needed
Again, able to speak fluently is the key to perform better during interview. If you can’t even express yourself, how do you expect employer to hire you? Next, if you are still lacking of a certain skill set, do spend time to learn up now either through courses, books or from internet.
Network Needed
Now is the best time for you to use your personal networking to get you a job. Ask your friends to recommend you to hiring managers. If you have connection with headhunters, seek for their help. Employers’ market has started, but if you have what it takes as mentioned about, you are still in the “jobseekers’ market”.

my friend work in HR.
two week ago he just told me that the employer market will start in KL soon on oct. then i read your article today with “employers market”
most of the jobseeker in KL still demanding provide handphone, company car, or parking allowance.
and some special look for company provide some team building events every 3 month.. or trips ..
i ask around , yes .found that few friend is retrenched. some company is shah alam is offer VSS.
a lot still dont appreciate they have job to work.
still complaint and compare A co. and B. Co.
they did not found job in 6 month still not worry.
. parent still can support them.
couse still got thing to eat at home
can not compare to 70s ..
i think is depand on which industries.
IT line is jobseeker market or employer market?
designer should is employer market.

Don’t blame, don’t scold. THEY are not listening. They will found out the reality soon…:P
